ABOUT THE WRITING CIRCLE:
This 75 minute-long circle invites people to connect to the living stream of the ancestors, and explore creating stories, poetry, songs in relationship with them. We show respect to the indigenous peoples of the land we live on. Then, using the technologies of ritual, rhythm, and offerings, we open ourselves up to the realms of the ancestors and welcome their wisdom in our midst. Finally, we weave what we have gathered.
~ Before we meet, create an altar next to you with a candle, bowl of water, sprig or leaf, stone, photos or mementos of your ancestors, and an offering: fruit, flowers, food, water, drinks, or whatever else is usual in your tradition. Also bring a small cup of milk that we will use during the ritual. And, don't forget pen and paper to write! ~
ABOUT MONICA MODY:
