Artist's Statement

​I write to shape the energy in words that is coterminous with a living world. Through poetry, fragment, narrative, and essay, I seek communion with a vast, emergent interconnectedness—human, other-than-human. Writing for me is an experimental mode—to find and articulate the living threads of energy in time/space/memory; to retrieve an alive dynamic that heals, re-members wholeness. I write to activate life force into the world—the river of life that is the core of its mystery, the secret tremendous aliveness with which we all tremble. I write to bring into the world the worlds I want to see. Writing is my sensor into the future—wayfinding into that occult place where the wheel of life continues.
